Default Adjustable armrest problem

Hi all, I just bought a used Disco ll and have a problem with the driver's side armrest. The adjustment knob tightens right up just before the rest reaches level. It sits just a little high for my taste. Anyone experience this and can offer tips before I pull it apart for a look?

Thanks in advance.

Try to adjust it when the armrest is in the "up" postion, if you play with it it should adjust for you... any help????

How far are you tilting your seat back ?

I have the same problem that if I tilt the seat back to pimp the ride , the arm rest is to high , Because that's actually how far down it will go .

That is a great point I didn't think about that. I should try to lean the seat back and pimp it out. haha. so it only goes so far even if you lean the seat back.

You're right about the leaning back thing. I'm a hair over 6' 3" and was leaning it back a little. I've decided that my arm rests just fine on the console anyways.

I really like this vehicle. I bought it for my wife and gave the old Pathfinder to my daughter. I find I look for any excuse to drive it. My wife is talking about moving into it she likes it so )
