Question after lift steering not centered

after i installed a 3" lift my steering wheel is tilted to the right. what do i need to adjust or replace? hopefully adjust haha.

i'm also gonna call bullshit on ome shocks, their simply not long enough to permit much travel at all with a lift, mostly in the rear. will billstein 6100's fit with the heavy duty valving? as i'm not sure of the size. 1/2" 5/8th" and 14mm all look the same to me with a normal tape measure.

Good question, should an alignment come before or after a lift? Was the issue there before the lift and this is enhacning the issue?

UGH the 3" lift dillema..shocks...it seems you can't go OME with 3", maybe those new Bling sport shocks?....Kings are too much $$$$ and Poo Comp is crap...I want 3" RTE but not $800 in shocks...

Got any after pics Ultra?

no, steering was centered before lift... maybe a coincidence but doughtfull.

yea i might go with the pro comps. at that price you can afford to replace it on the spot if you break one or replace them as they wear.

If a person was off road occasionaly you would think it would be ok, or not hard core rock climbing......I don't want the sideways glances at a rally etc.. $159 for four....tempting...

(now this just turned into an anti poo comp thread)

I recently installed OME 3" and have not gotten an alignment.. my steering tracks pretty straight... sorry to hear bout yours. I do agree with the rear shocks not being long enough, but theyre keeping my stock brakelines from busting.. so in my case its a good thing.

well, it still tracks strait. i can let go of the steering wheel and she'll not wander. it's just when the wheels are strait the steering wheel is off center, tilted to the right.

you need to lengthen the drag link (the one with the damper)

Only if the steering wheel is off center when going straight ahead.

The lift only changes the relaytionship between the steering box and the axle.
Drag link is on more of an angle now than it was before the lift.
Axle further away from the frame.
Link needs to be adjusted longer.
It only takes a small adjustment to get the steering wheel re-centered.
So loosen the clamps and make small adjustment and test it be driving a little and re-adjust as needed.

Who's 3" lift did you install? Let me know then I'll tell you how to fix it and it isn't an alignment.
