Default Airbag Light On & Rough Sound during turns...

1) About 2 months ago, I installed a Saudi bumper on my '01 DiscoII. Just curious to know if there are any Airbag sensors that I made have triggered
during the installation process? How do I reset, so that light goes off?

2) I noticed that my Disco is making a strange noise during sharp turns at high speeds above 45mph. I checked the front rotors, rotated my tires and there is no steering-wheel vibration. Everything seems to be working fine.

It's long sharp turns where I get a rough sound comming from the front end. Could this be related to CV Joints or a wheel bearing?

I have 56K miles on my '01 disco.

All input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Hugo

So you are dealing with a couple of issues, your SRS light is on cause of a failure which can only be inspected by a dealer with a test book, not because you switched out your front bumper.
As for the noise, you are going to need to be more specific as to the type of noise, is it a rubbiing sound, a grinding sound, metal to metal and from where.

Ok. Let's remove the SRS light and I'll let Dealer diagnose.

I would describe the sound to be somewhat of low grind noise with a slight vibration. It only happends when I make turns at high speeds. I haven't really checked to see if, I get the same results on normal turns with stop and go traffic.

I'll try take it for a test drive after work.

Thanks,

Hugo

How about a power steering growl when turning? Try starting the truck, open the hood, with your foot on the brakes, turn full left and right, do you hear the noise now?

Mike, I finally got a chance to re-evaluate my problem and I believe it's related to uneven tire wear.

Took the truck for a test drive and made sharp turns about 50mph and it sounded more like a wobble or a thump type noise. At first, I thought it was
a low growl noise but could not remember.

I did tried your steering test. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and to the left and made no sound.

This weekend, I will rotated the tires and check all tires for correct psi.

Thanks for the input!

Good, also look for what is causing the tire wear, no since tearing up more tires if you don't have to.
