Default another headlight Q.

yeah i have a 99 dII, and uh since ive had it ive had to run the fog lights with the headlights. the headlights work they are just either dim or not angled correclty or something. so i put in new ones thinking the old ones were just dim. same thing, i mean its a little brighter, but it really didnt do anything. the lights just dont cover any of the road. also the lights are set to run all the time, if that could have anything to do with it. thanks a lot.

If your head lights are both dim, you need to have some start checking your grounds. What are the high beams like? If you are used to working on auto electric problems I would suggest having your mechanic determine the cause of the problem.
As for the headlights running all the time, A Rover dealer using a test book can go into the computer and reset the lights to run only when you turn them on.

hey mike thanks, the thing is, the old lights yeah they were dim, but just like the new lights theyre just not aligned right or something. the high beams are fine. its like the lights are pointing too high or something. im driving and i cant see then i pull up to a wall and the lights are shining great on the wall. but the brights are fine.

There is a difference between lights that are dimm and ones that are not aimed properily.
Each light is anchored to the body of the truck by 3 pins, sounds like the adjuster pins are broken. Can you put you hand on the head light and move them around?
