Default Autologic brake bleed

I am wondering about the autologic brake bleed i've read about.. Alot of members perform there own brake jobs as I plan to when needed. Is everyone skipping this part? How critical is the autologic part? Also does anyone know of a good supplier for braided steel brake lines at a reasonable price? Vehicle is a 2000 Disco II SE7. mountainwest environment. Thanks
Jake

From what I understand the only time the autologic bleed is really needed is when the whole system is drained of fluid (correct me if I'm wrong guys). For pads/rotors, the traditional bleeding is probably fine.

That is pretty much the case, if all you are wanting to do is bleed the brakes do either a gravity bleed or the old fashion, 2 person brake bleed pumping the brakes and bleeding the fluid.

even when doing brake modulators you can get away with out abs brake bleed.

just have a person pump for you.

We changed two rear calipers, tried the manual 2-person way. Although drivable, the pedal is a little spongy. We did the Autologic, with a noticeable difference.

excuse my ignorance
what is the Autologic brake bleed?

I plan on replacing my brake fluid. I would have just dumped out the old and filled up with new with a standard brake bleed process.
