Warn winches. However, some will disagree and I agree to disagree because they are very expensive now. Im not sure why, but thats just the way it is. I cant chime in on any other kind because I've never owned another kind, but I can say a buddy has had his T-Max as long as I have, and its never had a problem.

You'd be looking at an XD9000. I have the XD9000i myself, but alot of bumpers dont take them well.

They are also very expensive as far as I remember. I could have bought 2 rovertym's for the price of one safari guard when I priced one out back in the day. Mind you, shipping is alot to me because Im north of the border. Customs just loves to see how many zeros they can add to the bill.

Safarigards are very overpriced. RTE is built much better. I have an equipe 4x4 bumper.

The air bag approved thing is just a bunch of bull shit to make Canadians and Australians feel better. The bumper has nothing to do with the air bag.
As far as I know no one has been asked by their insurance company if their bumper is "air bag approved".
If you don't have the big bucks for a Warn, take a look at Superwinch, best prices are on Amazon.

Here is my suggestion, they are new, look very strong and the price is right.

Will rovertym add front and rear skid plates to there bumpers for extra . The skid plates on safari gard just look good because they kinda cover a void that is the front drivetrain. And I would like to keep my parking assit because i pull seadoos, boats, and trailers often and the help back my up to the ball when i'm by myself.

Those bottorf's look great I think I like that the best. They are kinda a mix between a slimline and and arb.. best of both worlds which is what i was looking for. I think I have found my front bumper . they also can add skid plates. now I need the rear

Do your self a favor, especially for someone who lives in Texas, skid plate, beside making it really hard to work on your truck, make it run hotter because they restrict air flow to our all ready hot engine compartments.
I know they look cool but if you have any driving skills, they are just a waste of money.
Send us pictures of what you do.
Also consider sliders and diff guards, QT's, before you do anything else.

Will do , and yea sliders are good to , not just for the protection they give that little bit of extra step for the doors on lifted discos.. god knows its already hard enough for a 6'2" guy to get in the back if he wanted. I will post pics in my gallery as soon as i'm done ... check up with me here soon because towards the end of the summer my brother and I are making a trip to south america to pick up (2) 2.8 or 3.0 powerstroke motors to put in our discos. i'll be posting pics of the trip as well as the process of getting the engines. then onto the install. which will end up being another month or so.....

I am a big fan of RoverTym bumpers. I had an ARB on my D1 and it was cool and pretty tough, but it folded bad when I hit a tree one time, and it was too bulky and often times I found it lacking in approach angle which meant I was usually having to crash through dirt to get up steep hills. I have a RoverTym bumper on my Range now and can tell you that they were awesome to work with.

I like how the TJM looks, however I think the hidden winch set up is a recipe for disaster when you get in deep mud.

As far as winch's go, I hear the best user reviews about the Warn winches but htey are too expensive imo so I bought a MileMarker and have only used it 1 time but it was only $560 for a 12k winch and it worked fine and pulled plenty fast for me. The 12k winch I bought is not waterproof but people have told me that they work fine under water. RoverTym just ran a special on rear bumpers too!

Basicly I am a huge RoverTym fan, I say give them a call, their number is 1.866.ROVERTM (768-3786), if you talk to Larry tell him I say hello

that bottorf bumper looks pretty awesome, looks super strong, I just think the middle section might ruin your approach angle, it's definately strong looking but just might have the same trouble I had with my old ARB. Which I think I just said this, but I used to hit my ARB all the time on steep hill climbs, I think if you go with something like that then you might be wishing you have a RoverTym bumper when you are off road. The bumper on my Range is a little more beefy than their average slimline bumper, but it's not too big to where I would be pushing it through dirt.

I like the recovery points on those bottorf bumpers though, I'm pretty sure RoverTym could mount some of those on their bumpers for you, their pretty cool with special requests, I know this all too well

I had a custom bumper on one of my work trucks and they wouldn't insure the interior when the airbag deployed.

Its a load of crap, I agree, but you get that one rat that starts asking all kinds of questions.

Did you fight it? Did you make them show how an aftermarket anythingeffects the airbag?
If insurance companies don't want to pay, they'll find a reason no matter what.
