Default Botswana roadtrip towing quandary

I'm an American living in South Africa. A buddy of mine from the States is coming down in April and we are planning an epic offroad adventure up in Botswana in my 2003 Disco II V8.

I have a dumb idea that I can't figure out how to make work. Can anyone here help me do something stupid?

We will be towing an offroad camp trailer (http://www.imagine-trailvan.co.za/im...rtVan-Main.jpg) that will weigh about 2500 lbs with gear inside.

So far, so good, but my dumb idea is that I would sure like to also take along my dirtbike and I can't figure out how. They make trailer hitch motorcycle carriers that would hold the weight of my bike (about 220 lbs) and also include a trailer hitch with a stated capacity of 3000 lbs (i.e., trailer towed behind the carrier that is holding the bike, all ultimately connected to my Disco by a single Class III hitch). Numbers come in just within the stated specs. However, I don't think the designers had Botswana off-roading in mind when they designed those motorcycle hitch carriers and I don't want any serious issues when I'm out in the bush. My wife, prudently, says I'll probably get eaten by a lion if I try to ride the bike anyway (I notice she says this, but isn't necessarily suggesting that I don't do it).

Still ... can anyone think of a less-stupid way of making this work? Any way to mount a bike on the trailer itself, or something like that? Front of the Disco? Anyone done anything like this before?

Probably won't end up doing it, and won't be heartbroken if I can't find a way, but still ...

Cool trailer
Going to be a tricky install,
The first thing that came to my mind was mounting a hitch on the rear of the trailer but looking at the style of the trailer that would be tough and would drastically change your rear ground clearance.
What about either an extension of the hitch, between the tongue of the trailer and the disco or extending the tongue of the trailer to allow space for a platform

I would look at extending the length of the TRAILER hitch assembly and putting your dirtbike there.

A carrier on the front of the Disco maybe, or forget it.
Does the trailer have brakes? I can't find any reference to them on the web site searching it with google. If it doesn't you're already exceeding the recommended towing capacity with just the trailer. Even with brakes you're almost at the limit if you're towing off-road.
Don't extend the hitch, that will exceed the max hitch load because of the leverage.
Being overload leads to more breakdowns.

Not on the rear of the trailer, unless you seriously rearrange the weight of everything inside of it so there is still a significant tongue weight, like 150 pounds at least. Easily said, not easily done with a trailer of that length.
