yea, they go to sleep from bordom just sitting there. if an engine started right on top of you, you would wake up as well.

what do you mean? if you mean it gives a litttle, i think all cars do that upon start up.

I head sort of like a vacuumish sound and the pedal actually moves under my foot.

ABS does a self check when being started.
