Question A/C drains??

Hi there, new member so hi,

Could anyone explain what the A/C drains are for?, after useinf A/C in the hot weather i noticed 2 drips dripping from eather side of the gearbox around abouts were the footwell corners would be from inside the car. Got under and had a look and noticed a pipe eather side with that seemed closed off at the end, are these the A/C drains and should they drip???,

Thanks guys & girls,

Chris

Chris, yes they are A/C drains to allow condensation to drain. Keep an eye on them - as long as they're draining you're good. Quite often they get blocked with dirt and you end up with wet carpet. Gary.

Chris - totally understand your comment - I moved from England in 2005 and don't think I ever had a car with AC. To see all the US cars (wetting) themselves each time you stop was weird at first - and here in the midwest we dont get it anywhere near as bad as brooksa in Georgia. take it easy.
