I have a 2000 disco with 100k on the clock. I was driving yesterday and the A/C worked, I parked for 5 minutes and came back, started it, and no more A/C. The controls in the dash work. The compressor works. The A/C lines under the hood even get ice cold. The blower motor doesn't blow. I took it to Auto Zone and they tested the blower motor and it worked while out of the truck. We tested the relays under the dash near the blower motor. We also tested the relays under the hood. We checked every fuse under the steering wheel and under the hood. We even tested the plug for the blower motor and it was getting 12.3 volts. Anybody have any ideas that I haven't thought of yet?

So you have a blower issue, not an A/C problem.
If you have power to the blower plug, and the blower works outside of the truck, I don't know where to point you, other then maybe doing the built in self test that your system has. PM me with your tele and a good time to call you and I'll walk you thru it. Mike |

A local shop told me that I need the circuit board/fuse block for the A/C. They state the part is 350 bucks and want 650 to do the job. are we talking about the indash controller that we look at, with the digital readout, you know with the buttons we push to change settings???

Alright heres the news. i paid the shop $96 to find and tell me what was wrong. They said there was a burnt spot on the fuse box/circuit board under the steering wheel. I bought one on ebay for $120 and installed it. My blower motor now blows and everything works great. It was easy to do and took me about 20 minutes. They said that this is very common for these vehicles and that the dealer has tons of them in stock. I saved alot of money buying a used one and installing it myself was cake. Hope this helps someone other than me. it took me a lot of time to get this figured out.

Good job for posting the solution.. I hate it when people find the answer then never finish the thread.
