Hello All,
I parked the D2 and found this piece near the end of the driveway. Can someone please tell me if this piece is for our cars and what exactly is it?
It's a "bumpstop". It goes between the frame and axle so they don't hit, or bottom out and ruin the shocks and mounts when you go over a big bump. It also keeps your tires from bottoming out against the fenders. Looks like it came unglued from its mount. Ya better replace it and check the other ones. You'll find 3 more (hopefully) just above the axles on the frame.
Do an image search for discovery 2 bump stops to see what they look like and where they go.
Thanks rpchachi, and wjsj69!
Very helpful feedback!
I will look under her and see if I can put it back.
