Default Cant Get Oil Plug Off

I'm changing the oil and trying to turn it counter-clock-wise to get it off and it's just impossible. I have a long wrench and cannot get it off. Any ideas? Also I'm turning it counter-clockwise. That's how you get the plug off right?

If there were no washer, you would have had a pretty bad oil leak.
All I can tell you is to make sure you use the correct size socket or wrench so you don't round off that plug. The other concern I would have is pulling a couple threads in the process of removing the plug.
Who did the oil change last time, might want to have them loosen the plug if need be.

get the truck a bit warm and then try it... the heat might loosen it up enough...

Nice suggestion, Also, using a breaker bar vs socket wrench gives more leverage, be sure to clean all the old gunk off it too, often you see wrenching on a dirty plug.

The same mechanic who filled the oil 1 inch past the word "FULL" on the dipstick. No way I'm taking it back to him again.

What do you mean by "pulling a couple threads in the process of removing the plug"?

I'm assuming you have the regular large hex head. As mentioned it is better to use a six point socket of the correct size and a longish bar or tube. Instead of trying to use brute strength to turn it, pull on it and then let go, keep doing that and it will almost certainly crack loose; just like they used to do with lug nuts.
