assuming you are talking about the shift linkage.

there is the D1 shift linkage.
D2 shifter and linkage out of an 04.
make your own.
and a couple of after-market items, electric and new and improved D2 linkage.

i my self went with the D1 at first, but didn't like it (thats just me). nothing wrong with it, just picky about some things. so i bought the 04 shifter and linkage (used of course).

nice but a bit high.
Expedition Exchange Incorporated :: Discovery :: Discovery II :: Land Rover Genuine Parts 2004 Disco2 Center Differential Lock Kit (EW21)

nice , and the price is getting better.
Lucky 8 Products

every now and then he got em.
2004 Discovery II Transfer Case Shifter

electric, and price ghanges with the US dollar.
Series II Diff Lock

now none of this will work unless the "nipple" is on top of the t-case.
always check the for sale sections. some times you can find them there. also give Will Tillery a call #1 Community For Land Rover Owners - The Rover Guy he deals in new and used. damn good man!!

x2 on ^^^^

I have the electric actuator. whatever you decide, it is YOUR personal preference and don't go the cheaper route unless you really want to. I didn't want the DI shifter and for about $50 more than the 04 shifter I got the electric one. with today's exchange rate it may not be so cheap.
