Default Celsius or Fahrenheit

Ok, this may seem like an odd question, but here goes. I recently purchased a 2003 DII and I found some interesting things, well one in particular. When I try to set the temperature in the car, it comes up in “Celsius”, not in “Fahrenheit”. (Being that I live in the USA, I would prefer the latter of the two.)

Can someone show me where the instructions to do this are, or at least tell me where I can find the correct information as to how to correct this issue? It is a bit confusing?

Thanks.

Mods, if this is in the wrong section I do apologize.

You may want to sit down and read your owners manual so things like this won't catch you in the future.

Wow, I didn't expect the sarcasm?

I did search/read my owners manual and had no luck. It is possible that since I bought the DII used that maybe I am missing part of my owners manual?

Maybe I misunderstood the idea of a message board? As I am normally on the "Watch" msg boards and if someone has a question, or if they are having an issue looking for an answer, they post a question and usually get the answer as to where to find the answer, sometimes someone will point out a link as to where you can go ie..(Rover Kid).

This was why I asked the mods if this was in the wrong place, "I do apologize."

BTW, thank you Rover Kid.

That can happen here.

You will find downloadable Discovery Manuals at Land Rover Discovery Owners Manuals

You will find the answer to your question on page 84 of the 2003 Manual.

Enjoy your recent purchase.

Yea it should be in the owner's manual. Incase you haven't found it already here's how, it works on my 01 Discovery II SE7 so I'm sure it'll work the same on yours.

Turn on the AC/heater, w/e just press the power button, then you see the air recirculation button (the one with the circular arrows), hold that down and then hold the power button along with it and then like 2 or 3 seconds later you'll hear a beep sound and it should convert to Fahrenheit.

We're just having some fun...

You are right though... The Forum is here for asking questions and getting answers... Sometimes us a-holes like to have fun first... Feel free to contribute to it anytime because I'm sure I have and I'm going to ask something that can and will get sarcasm...

Which Panerai do you have (I know, wrong board)?

Jonathan

I know, I should be used to it. It was just a little quick for me, being new and all it was a bit of a shock. But I am ready now... lol

As for as Pannies: PAM00, PAM213, PAM125, PAM063 (Although the 063 is MIA?)
What about you. Send it PM if you like?(If that is possible here?)

According to Page 62 in my 99 Disco II manual it says, STEP 1. Press and hold the air circulation button. STEP 2. At the same time press and hold the on/off button for 3 seconds. STEP 3. A "bleep" will sound to indicate the conversion has taken place. I believe my controls are the same as the 03 discos. Try that it should work.
