Default Checking Brakes

This is probably a foolish question but I recently purchased a 03 Disco HSE and the brakes are squeeking pretty bad, is there a way to check the pads and rotors without taking the tires off to see if they need replacing? If so what should I look for? Searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. Thanks for any help.

No there isn't.
You need to remove the wheels, if there is alot of brake dust that can cause the squeak as will cheap after market bake pads, no brake sound deadening material and glased pads and or rotors.
How long have you had the truck, have you put brakes on it, what brand, how many miles on the truck?
If they are squeaking too much you will throw your trio of lights and then things get interesting.

Hello disco mike
i believe my rotors are warped because the steering wobbles when i'm breaking also they sqeeking like no other ++ i have the trio lights on.
Would you recommend:

1) purchasing the rotor and brake kit from atlantic british and swap them.
2) resurface the ones i have now and just replace the pads.
3) take the car into the dealer for the brake and rotor job and the lights all together?

I just purchased the vehicle 3 weeks ago and don't have a clue to what's really going on yet.

Please advise.

Thank You

Send me your tele number and we can talk options and where to buy what you need based on the type of wheeling you are doing.
As for the brakes, yes, your rotors are warped, they can not be resurfaced and don't go to the dealer for brakes, your truck is easy to do a good brake job on for less then half of what the dealer charges.
