Arrow a couple of questions...ugh...

Well, I have two question.

The first one was, that when I am driving on the highway, (speeds of 55 or more) whenever I press on the accelerator, I hear a high pitched noise. As I get faster, the noise gets higher; but it is only when I am pressing the accelerator.. ?? Any thoughts??

And the second thing is, I've noticed that after I've been driving a while, and I stop at a red light, the rear suspension "relaxes" alittle. I only notice it if I am looking through the rear view mirror, and then I literally see the back go down. Is that normal?? I notice it with just me in the truck, as well as when I have passengers.

Thanks!! I appreciate all the input!

John-Robert

One common thing that will fail and cn cause the noise you are describing could be the contanat velocity joint on the front drive shaft failing because it has no grease fittingd and the bearings burn up.
As for the SLS, does it drop equally or on just one side? How about over night, does it drop?
How many miles on the truck?

I get that high pitched noise on the highway as well. It seems to be right around 55 mph or so, and only when I press on the accelerator. I've already had the front driveshaft rebuilt, so I know it's not that. I was also worried that maybe my serpentine belt was about to go, so i replaced that as well (turns out it was pretty close). While I was doing that I checked for play in my belt tensioner, and didn't find any. The noise is still there. Go figure.

Could also be typical Rover t/case noise which is pretty common.

When I am driving and come to a stop, it seems to be dropping evenly.

In the morning though, I still do notice that its leaning to the right.. Not as bad as before (before I had the right rear airbag replaced and the "height adjusted") but I swear there is still some leanage.

What do I do??

I will take a look at the CV joints. Thanks again for all your input!

Have a great day!

oh!.. and there are currently 39,xxx miles on it..
