I have read the tech notes that you can fit cruise control to a manual TD5, exactly how does cruise control work on a manual?
I presume it can only maintain the speed in the highest gear? |

In short, cruise control can be hooked up to any manual. They all hook up to the throttle body and hold a given presure to maintain speed. Unlike an automatic that can down shift based on throttle presure you will be limited to holding a constant speed in whatever gear you set the cruise control on, say 4th or 5 th. gear.
Works fine though, go for it. Mike J. |

Real quick for a cross ponder is the TD5 and so on models mean Turbo Deisel 5 passenger, etc. or what ? In the US it;s either SD-SE or SE 7 for the jump seated version. A little Noob lesson would be good, thanks !
