Default Cruise control not working.

My cruise control went out awhile back. After getting under the hood a few months ago I found a bad vacuum hose that was going into the Cruise control. Well I pulled the hose and replaced it a new hose and clamped it on. I took it out for a test and still no cruise. It felt like it tried to engage a few times but never would agian. Any ideas on what else could be long or what to maybe look for.

you sure you didnt hook it up wrong.

but if you did it right, then you need to hook up testbook to see what the switches are doing.

Default Cruisin Again

My 99 Disco had exactly the same problem.
I checked the swithch on the clutch pedal. The switch needed to be adjusted. While checking the switches, check the one on the brake pedal.

Hope this helps

Check the cable adjustment for throttle and cruise control, not adjusted correctly may cause that concern.

Just a thought.

Look under the drivers side by the pedals, just above the pedals there is a cover that hides all the wiring. Remove this cover and you will see on the brake pedal there is a switch that activates the brake lights. The clutch has the same sort of switch. The switches can be adjusted. Remove the switch. Pull the shaft out of the switch but be carefull not to pull it all the way out of the unit. The switch has a ratchet mechanism in it.

You don't have a 5 speed transmission therefore you won't have a clutch switch.
