I am having probs with my cruise control...ive read some of the threads...and still cant seem to locate everything hose wise. When I push the button, it lights up like it wants to work..hehe...but nothing. Im posting a picture of my engine. There is a hose coming off the back of the actuator...i think..hehe...and I cant figure out if its supposed to be connected to something...or just hanging there. Also there is a plug that is hanging there thats not connected to anything...can someone tell me what that is also? I love my Disco, and will love it more once I can use my cruise control...thanks in advance.
EDIT - By the way...its a 2003 SE Disco II. ![]() |

The cruise control is on the passenger side wheel well. The hose that you are holding probably came off the cruise; just plug it back in - think it goes on the bottom but you can see it pretty easily. Not sure about the plug that you are holding.

You mean underneath the cannister? Will there be a nipple of some sort im looking for? Im at work...so I cant check it right now. As far as the plug goes...after looking at it..im figuring its a plug for a diagnostic computer of some sort.

It has been a while so I do not quite remember. However, if you lean over the fender and look below the cruise control (do not remember what it looks like) and on the wheel well, you will see the nipples. There should already be a hose hooked up so maybe you can trace the hose to the wheel well. Wish I had taken a picture.

Well...ive looked and searched; and even searched and looked...but for the life of me I cant seem to locate the elusive nipple or nipple like area this hose is supposed to connect too...hehe. I guess ill have to start tracing lines on my next day off...unless one of you nice 2003-2004 Disco owners pops thier hood and takes a look for me
