Default Dash board lights

I have a 2000 Disco II its a good vehicle me and my mom run them on the ranch. However I put it in a barn (My Stupidity) until just a week ago(out of state) well it had a rough idle a flashing service engine light on I looked closer to what the ratatuly family had done and notice needed some wires a vac tub chewed and several wires that needed rewired did this all and replaced wires plugs and well still runs okay but acts sluggish like bad gas in tank and the shifting of the trans is kinda hard now. The lights that are stuck on are:
ABS Light
Service engine soon flashing
Traction Control
Brake light
Transmission light temp came on and went off
and the cruise control doest work either.
Should I thermite it?
would like some advice and help I have restored/ worked on Minis old and new Handfuls of bmws a couple real Jags .(before ford bought them,Ford builds a good truck) and mercedes opels etc.

I sure as hell hope you are not driving this in this condition. Get it to a shop and have it fully inspected for the wire and hose damage.
Do you actually own it yet, if not, I would make the owner shrae in the cost of repairs.
If it is yours, how many miles on it and exactly what fault codes does it have?

Default Fault codes

Thanks for the tip, its milage is 151556, drove it to az just this past weekend 1050 miles at heat peaks of the day. I own the vehicle. I drive it like the ones I drove while I was deployed, hard and like they were made too. I put the sensor reader on it today and I found the following codes on itno snickering)
P1590 P0306
P0453 P0327
P1300 P0705
P0303 P0130
PO305 P0304
P1319 P0154
P0300 P1129
I reset the computer and will retest after I take another drive in it an check the codes again for flukes I know that three of the codes were due to chewed wires so I will get a follow up. I am looking for all the fault codes to help fix the old gal

You'll know the answer to that when you find that damaged wire.
This is not going to be a quick fix but a long step by step inspection of all your wires and harnesses.
I have seen in the past where a customers auto insurance would cover this type of repair.

Default Varmits

I will call my insurance co and inquire. I have had this to with my Jag I found a nest in the engine bay where there use to be 12 spark plug wires, what a mess. I use dry concrete mix with Swiss miss hot cocoa mix with marshmallows, and it seems the rat pop has vanished. I thought about the 2nd and 3rd of effects of rat poison it doesn’t work because "if it eats it", the poison is still there for what ever else might eat the dead corps. I have used mouse traps they are an iffy unless in a contain inside environment and you know the size(s) of the mouse.

Hey Mike

Maybe you can help. I see 323jamie also has problems with the 3Amigos. Well I have a 2005 disco2 td5 facelift. Have the 3Amigos and Brake light all at the same time. Landy workshops have hooked up the computer and say they can't find anything wrong. I drive 140km do do this. The lights stay off just long enough for me to get out of town LOL. Please advise. Thanks

Default Advice

I took your advice Mike and changed Plugs to the Bosch and noticed and immediate response acceleration unfortunately its not stopped some of the hesitation. I have not changed or reset codes because I think there is another problem associated with how fast I can get up to speed with normal traffic I think the XYZ selector is kaput. I decided to jack the rear-end up and I ran it through the gear shifter selector and noticed that while it was in park that I could still spin the rear wheels. They spin opposite like they are suppose to on 4x4's that I have had and ideas? I am waiting new MAGNA Core Wires.

I am wondering if the MAF might need cleaning?
