Dash lights on with key out

D2 2000 td5, dash lights are coming on after ignition key is taken out
This happened again today I have been driving for at least four hours today
I have a weak battery which I have to keep on trickle charge
Any ideas guys ?
Not sure if it's the battery or something else caus8ng this

Usually a bad ignition switch.

Take out relay R9 and put R8 instead see if this helps or not

Hi mate can you expand on this a little I can pull out relay r9 but what shall I do with relay r8 ?

Swap one for the other. 9 to 8, 8 to 9. If its a bad relay the problem moves with it. You might mark them with a sharpie to avoid mixup.
