Default Difference between 99" Series II & 00' series II?

I'm thinking of buying a 99' Series II with 55,000 miles on it and was curious as to any differences between it and a 2000' Series II. I know that 99' was the first year of the Series II. Are there any major problems with the 99' that I should be aware of? I'm looking at it because of the price and the fact it is a Series II. I currently have a 96' but would like to upgrade to a newer model. Thanks for any help.

I have a 99 Disco2 with 65,000 miles on it with no problems. I believe that for the most part the only difference between the 2 is that they made some small changes in the fuel management system, still Bosh, just updated.
Good luck,
Mike J.

If you look at a DiscoveryII parts catalog, such as RoversNorth.com, The DiscoveryII shares a lot of drivetrain with the P38 Range Rover. They're also bigger than the Discovery Is, not much but a little.
