I'm relocating to Dubai and would like to bring my 2000 Disco II along. Does anyone know if there are any major differences between the US spec and Gulf spec models? I stopped by the local Land Rover dealer while in Dubai a few weeks ago and the salesman stated that I should consider a larger radiator, but other than that it should be okay.
are there any other modifications that I should consider? any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure that the radiator is any different for Gulf area than anywhere else, just make sure your AC is working okay as it is regularly above 42C these days.
Let me know when you move here and you can join up with ME4x4, big party coming up on the weekend of May 30/31 - Golden Spade Awards

yeah, I think it should be okay. I currently live in south Florida and the AC works fine for the heat and humidity (although it's not quite as hot here!)
I won't be back there until the end of June - just in time for the brutal heat! Too bad I'll miss the party weekend. I'll touch base with you when I get there, I'm definately looking forward to joining the club.

Look forward to your arrival Winston, we have quite a few Discos in the club.
Quite frankly I would be careful about using the local Landy dealer as the majority of their sales staff (like most sales staff in UAE) haven't a ****ing clue what they are doing. There are other options for service etc
