Default Disco 4 low check

Just bought an 03 Disco SE with 35K was owned by a nice girl but she only engaged the 4 low once. Is there anything I need to check before I use the low four. I am an old Bronco 1970 guy and know if you didn't use the four wheel or low the seals would dry out or the grease would decay. Any info on an all around check on a Disco would help. Excited about 4 wheeling with new tech just not sure what care they need.

Nothing other then putting the tranny in neatral at a stand still and shifting the t/case into low.
Welcome to the site, see you are a local.

Thanks Mike it will probably take me a while to get up to speed on the way Land Rovers work. I will probably ask a few stupid questions also. I am a local, a native from the western slope. I see there are a bunch of Colorado guys on this site.

i pop my rover into 4 low at least once every few weeks if i haven't taken it off road. just to keep it going so i don't get suck in low when i'm on the trails.

nothing worse than being a few hours from home and being stuck in a gear where you can hardly get past 15mph lol

It will be a new experience not having to get out and lock in the hubs
