Default The Disco Christmas Tree

Well, the disco appears to have detected that it's Christmas and has come over all festive. When the key is turned in the ignition the engine makes one feeble attempt to turn-over.... goes "ping-ping-ping" (presumably an attempt at singing jingle bells?)... most of the dashboard lights come on or start flashing (presumably its attempt at looking like a christmas tree.... then the engine stops attempting to and the alarm goes off.

So it's been towed away on the back of a flatbed yet again (it's becoming a bit of a habit).

I know it's usual to post photos of your damaged Landy, but I didn't get a chance. So for those of you who are interested I have instead created this dramatic "Hot-wheels reconstruction":

Bummer.
Everyday I realize more and more that I want a bare bones Series truck.

Got the LR back now, and it's just about fixed. I was a bit scary for a while, and when the garage hooked it up, they said they've never seen more error codes on one vehicle (two pages of different codes!). However, most of them were 'ghost' errors caused by a faulty battery. Battery now replaced and no more faults being logged. Only genuine fault, which was stopping the vehicle starting, was a faulty airflow meter, which also got replaced.

So the moral is, if your Rover repots that EVERYTHING has gone wrong, change the battery (and airflow meter), and live happily ever after.

And in keeping with the reconstruction above... here's the final chapter
