Default The Disco Gods won't stop picking on me...

I've done everything possible to keep this Discovery in pristine condition. I don't off-road, I won't go over bumps really hard.. nothing even slightly extreme.

SES light comes on today.... after it being in the shop for 6 weeks, 3 weeks ago...

Come on Disco Gods... give me a break..

It's probably mad at you for not taking it off road. Wish I could help you with the codes. Good luck with the disco.

First off, what was it in the shop for? Looks like a problem with one of the 02 sensors. Possibly a bad sensor, maybe some oil in the connection that's messing with the signal, perhaps frayed or broken wire, etc etc.

Hey!

It was in the shop for a transfer case, and an exhaust manifold, manifold gasket, a seal of some sort, a starter and a battery.

What does the 1668 code mean?

Default Hmmm

A starter and a battery, what are the odds of both failing at the same time? Let me get my calculator.... Shall I figure in the transfer case? All jokes aside, sorry about your bad luck. I just needed a brand new tranny and tons of gaskets failed at the same time.

KDamericano - I occassionally get a P1668 if I try and start the truck and I haven't disarmed the alarm. There may well be a genuine fault, but if I double click to open the doors I dont get it. I only found it by accident as it doesn't trip either the CEL or SES light (Obviously) Gary.

yup! go figure.. a battery and a starter.

geez! A tranny and gaskets... very fun. I've had all possible seals pretty much redone.. at once.. ha!

Brita- My truck does the same thing! The red light blinks as if the alarm is set, but won't turn over. If I press the unlock button again, then it lets me turn on the truck.

You know.. I did just fill up.... imagine that.. if all I needed was to tighten the cap! haha!

So, if it is just the cap, how can I reset the SES light?
