Has anyone performed a headlamp upgrade from the single rounds to the updated Series II 03s and newer? If so, how much did the conversion cost you and would do it over again if you knew what you know now? I have an 02 and really like the newer lights.

If you do a search for something like headlight conversion I am sure you'll come up with some good info on doing the upgrade. I know a member did a good write up on it a while back. Take a look in the DII section and I think it might have also been talked about in either the show it off section or the accessory section. I know there was a few tricks to doing the job right as it is more than just a plug and play thing. I believe on a DII you have to cut a bracket out. So try doing the search thing and I am sure you'll find all the info you need.

My first post here, so hope I'm not breaking any rules.... Looking at this website, http://www.td5alive.com/headlights.php I would imagine that the job is fairly involved and not a straight forward one. Lawrance ![]() |

me and you, man, are in the minority here - most people don't really want to mess with this thing. I got the '03 headlights almost a year ago on eBay, they were very cheap and they are DOT-approved American lights, not that European stuff that's technically illegal. I also got an instructions pack on eBay from a guy who claims to provide all the info that you need for $50. In reality, there is just the fairly modest description of what to do and a list of Land Rover parts with part numbers that you need to get. If interested, I could email you that stuff, free of charge. This job is too big for me to do on my own, and for now I am too busy doing the more basic maintenance stuff on this car. I'm planning to pay someone to do it for me, hopefully after I pass my emissions inspection (which is a whole different story). Some people say they're not as bright as the ones we've got, though ours seems to kinda suck in my opinion, and the '03 look is way more modern and all.
