I have a 2000 Disco II TD5 that has developed a leaking front sun roof. I took the sunroof off in the summer to try and fix it but it does not seem to have done the job. I removed the glass, took the rubber seal out and cleaned in fully. I then sat it back on a bead of silicon sealer. Then it rained again ! - the leak does not seem to happen if i park it on the road with a camber - with driver side being high ? - has anybody got any ideas ?

Find out where the drain tubes are an blow them out with compressed air.
The seal won't keep all the water out, so there is a built in 'moat' with a drain tube at each corner. They get dusty then rain clogs the tubes with mud, then it dries and on and on.

That reminds me. I've been told to blow them out from the bottom up. Maybe that's to prevent the hose from dislodging, or because the lion's share of the gunk will be at the top. But he said to have the sunroof closed and the headliner piece closed to stop a dirt storm inside.
Then get the vacuum.
