Default Discovery 2 Wipers

Good Morning

I have a ploblem with the window wipers.
If I put the wipers on, they work. When I put the wipers off, they do not stop, they just keep going. It does not happen every time but it seems to be happening more frequently. When you put the wiper on the intermittent function it works perfectly for a while and the the wipers just start wiping and dont stop.

Is there anybody els out there that has the same problems? Is there a fix?

Not sure, but sounds like a wiper motor relay to me. I had a similiar issue on my old BMW e30 a few years back and that was the cause; a faulty wiper relay.

The wipers use the auxilary relay which also controls a number of other functions including the washer motors, heated seats, rear wipers, cigerette lighter etc. The relay can be checked quite easily. find the box under the hood just behind the battery and remove the lid to expose a whole group of relays.
Remove the auxilary relay and swap it with one of the same size and colour and see if your problem has gone or is still there
