Default Discovery Performance Chips/Modules

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone of you have used thise PERFORMANCE CHIPS/MODULES that are on ebay for ridiculous cost of $ 20.00 that claim to improve 60+ HP and MPG up to 20MPG.

On my Disco 03 maybe if I shut the engine off and come down a STEEP HILL I might get 20MPG *LOL*

Seriously is there any thruth on these items? are there any other items that help?

Thanks in advance

I think you get what you pay for, I have never believed any cheap $20 piece of electronics could give you such gains.

Mike, I've thought so, but wouldn't hurt to ask the experts.
I mean if it wasn't for the fact that the Disco comes with a soldered EPROM, and this so called modules are in essence a Transistor or Resistor very well could fry it, I would have given it a shot.
Power Chip, increase is a mere 14hp for a 500.00 tag, I am not sure how much benefit is obtainned cost x value added, and still not sure if you must send to them your ECU so they can de-solder then add the open module.
Would like to hear more about it Jupiter if that is what you have on yours
Thanks again

You have to send them your ECU. I don't have one (yet) but a few guys have had them installed and notice a difference.
