Any ideas where to buy a new distributor. The mechanic says he has found a mallory for $700. I'm trying to dicide if it's worth putting this kind of money in the disco.
Thanks

Your mechanic is smart to find the Mallory but the price indicates lazy research or a high profit margin.

Contact Century Performance (if you are in the US). and buy one for $335.

You want the Mallory Unilite 4768901 Century Performance Center, Inc. :: Unclassified :: Distributor, Leyland V8 Unilite VA
You will need a ballast resistor if you wish to use your old coil or a Mallory internally ballast resisted coil if not. Place the distributor drive gear on with a 5-7 thou clearance..not that suggested by Mallory.

You will be VERY pleased.
