in my case, that grounding point had never been tightened with a nut, it was held in place on the stud by the force of the wires pushing against the connector.

I was driving around the other day and the interior lights came one. There must be a loose connection somewhere. I also discovered I also have an issue with the drivers door switch (lights don't come on when the door is open). I will swap out the actuator with my DII that doesn't run.
Without confirming with RAVE, I believe that header is in the front passenger (RH) foot-well. Above the carpet line behind the glove-box. Think there are three shrink wrapped connections. I have had to clean corrosion out of one of them for a dome light issue before.

I think that may be the problem. I found the section of the RAVE shortly after I asked where the header was. I removed the cover/trim in the footwell and found the harness. The bracket, on the firewalll, that holds the cover was rusted. I bet I have corrosion on the harness. I didn't remove the shrink wrap that day because it was cold outside and I wimped out. I did wiggle the harness feeling for the connectors. The lights came on about a day or two after that. If it is warmer this weekend I will take a look at it again, this time I will remove the shrink wrap and clean the connectors.
How should i clean them? brush? contact cleaner? Should I disconnect the battery prior to cleaning them to reduce the risk of a short?
