Default door locks?

Is there any way to make my door locks NOT lock every time i put it in gear. When i go wheeling i do not want to have to deal with unlocking them every time i get out. Is there any thing i can do?

take it to the dealer.....and get it changed. Its something that is programed into the vehicle......they will have to change it using testbook.

ie..mine doesnt lock if I put it in gear.

short of having someone with a test book change it, next best solution is to take the doors off..

Josh,
What have you been smoking, FREE!!!!! Doubt it.
I would suggest since the dealer is going to charge, you consider all the other things that can be done at the same time with the test book, like turning on headlight automatically, locking one or all doors at the same time, turning of the CEL or ABS.

Yeah, your probably right....but its always worth a try. When I was asking them (at my dealer) if they could reset the ABS light while I was buying $400 worth of new lugs (...well....picking them up at least.....the place that destroyed my lugs paid for them)....they said it would be $95 to hook it up for 10 sec and reset it. eFF them.

I would live with it.

Remember, it is speed sensitive for a reason. If the door is open it will lock on you and keep you safe so that the door doesnt momentarily open up.

At times I wish mine did do that especially when driving downtown at night. I've had a guy open up my door one time pretty much demanding a ride to the other side of town. Not a good feeling.

I hate the auto lock feature- it's off on mine. If the doors aren't closed all the way, you get an indicator on the dash.

Wait a minute--what's the big deal?
All you have to do is pull your door handle twice and the door unlocks itself. Why is pulling the door handle twice any more of an inconveinance than pulling it once to open the door?
Am I missing something (besides brain cells)
