I put my down hill control on when I went down a long steep hill. I was wondering I'm I suppose to hear a constant chiming and the down hill control light blink. As for the test it seams like it did its job. I was just wondering about the chiming.

Were you in low range? On the D2 it will only work in low range and chime if you're in high. When engaged properly it'll chime three times and the HDC light will come on steady.
That said, I never use mine. Usually low range and first gear is slow enough with a little brake thrown in when needed. I don't have stock size tires anyway so HDC would be a little faster then ideal.

Look at a topographical map of the world. The highest mountain in the world is Monaloa on the big island. It is high enough to have snow on it. The reason it does not seam like a big mountain is because 3/4 of it is under water
As for my problem. I had my truck in third. And the CDL was not engaged. |
