Unhappy Driver Side Door Lock Broke....

The driver side door lock stopped working. It will lock with the keyless entry, and lock with the key in the door but to unlock it you have to get in and open the door from the inside. Does anyone know anything about this or where to start looking?

needs a door latch, needs to have the door trim off and you need to pull the door frame up about eight inches.

Default My 96 did this today,

took the door panel off, plastic cover and stripped the door lock unit and found the end of the key barrel was cracked (the plastck bit with a C-clip to hold it on). Cleaned it up then drilled a few wee 1mm holes along the edge and Devcon'd it back together (thats a steel putty type) when set in the morning ill let you know how it goes
