Default Drivers side power seat

2000 Disco

The drivers side seat doesn't power up and down. It tilts the seat cushion forward and backwards but no straight up and down.

The passenger seat goes up and down, plus tilt. Pretty much every direction on the control.

Now, i read in the rave cd/owners manual that only the drivers seat goes up and down. Could my Disco have it backwards?

Yep, got the same thing on mine. I guess that they figured your vehicle was gonna be a right hand drive.

Couldn't tell you ?!? Maybe just unplugging the switch from the passenger's side and plugging the driver's side in it to see if it will operate, would at least let you adjust it to the height you desire. But the switches are not interchangeable. And if it doesn't work, it probably means that the up and down motor is absent.

interesting. Makes sense. Motor probably is absent. I'll try it and get back to you.
