When I last tried to put the window down it fell into the door.
Now the motor runs but nothing happens. Is this common? If so should I attempt to fix or just take it to the dealer. THNX Michael |

Sounds like you broke a window regulator and yes it does happen more then it should.
I agree with the last post, get it into the dealer for replacement under warranty. If you are not under warranty you can buy a new window regulator on line cheaply. Mike |

It is a common break, way more common than on any other vehicle I have dealt with. I replaced my D1 twice and now my DII passenger has failed. If you are not under warranty replace it yourself if you feel comfortable doing repairs. The hardest part is trying to figure out how to angle to regulator to get it in and out of the hole in the door. There is a write up on Discoweb about how to do it. The regulator is available from Atlantic British or Rovers North, about 100.00-125.00 for the part. When you get it out you will see what failed, a plastic roller than probably cost .50. I have heard of people repairing with a screen door roller but I have not looked into it.
Hope that helps, Jeff
