I have been using the same seal for the last 3 years worth of oil changes over 50,000 miles, call it 15 changes. The only thing I doe is keep flipping it over every change.

When working at a dealership we replace every single one also, not because they might leak, but because if we didn't and the engine lost oil and failed, the dealer was covered.
Good practice but as long as you know your truck and do a monthly check you will be fine.
