Default Engine problems Codes help.

Hi, I've got a landrover with some running problems with the engine. The engine seems to struggle when I add more acceleration and the dashboard starts to shake violently at high speeds and now its having problems starting up and when it does start up it almost dies when running idle. Where can I get my landrover's codes read to see what the problem is and how much would it cost on average? Thanks

Many of the local autp parts stores will read the codes for you.
When you get them write them all down and get back to us.

Or better yet, spend the $40 and get your own.

OBDII is OBDII--the connectors are all the same; they'll work for any car after 1998 I think.

So what you have are all misfires, P0300 general misfires and cylinder's 5 and 8. You don't have a fuel filter in a D2.
How many miles on the engine, how long since it has had the plugs and wires replaced?

Good palce to start. Get some good wires...Magracore is my favorite, but to each their own.. And some new plugs.

Get the Champions that look just liek the ones you're taking out. Unless you LOVE having a SES light, stay away from that Bosch shit the Pimple Faced Booger picker will try and pimp on you at Autozone.

You would be better off taking a piece of dog shit, tapping a thread on it and putting it in your spark plug hole then using Bosch Platnium plugs, including the +2,+4,+8 whatever crap they are pimping now..... Dont believe the hype!

Fuel filter isnt serviceable on D2.

Well, there is your answer.
You have got to keep the maintance up if you want it to run right.
Time for a set of Magnacors and plugs for starters.
Have you done any of the other service required at the 60,000 or 90,000 services? What octane gas are you running?

I don't think the services have been done, I purchased it used at an auto dealer.
Also I use the medium octane gas.
