Default Ever heard of this?

My brakes only squeek when I'm turning. Anyone ever heard of this?

Have you checked your wheel nut tourque?

Is it like a constant squeal or a squeak squeak squeak.

Usually most brakes squeak when they are cold. If its a squeak squeak squeak, could be a warped rotor, or something is loose. Perhaps someone probably did the brakes and forgot the anti-squeal pads.

Mine always start to squeak if I havent washed the old girl in two or three weeks and a lot of brake dust gets built up. Its like her personal way of reminding me she likes to stay clean.

Default New pads

Mike, I've got 74,000. The brake pads were changed at 56,000. The Dealer didn't think it needed rotors. If I press harder on the brake it stops. Otherwise breaking is great. Break fluid, I have no idea. No abs light = happy camper!

What do you mean if you press hard it will stop, what the truck or the brake squeak?
Not that it may or may not help this problem, but if you are clueless as to the fluid change do it anyway, about 3 pints will be needed.

Default Brakes

When I'm doing a slow turn (left or right) I get a squeak, If I press on the brake harder (stopping faster) they stop squeaking. I was concerned it might be the squealers and I was going to need new pads and rotors soon, now I'm not so sure because it's been doing it for 4-5 months without any grind. BTW grind meaning No pad left, metal to metal. I'm not even sure if the pads have squealers.

First of all, you don't have" Squeelers".
Sound like you have too much pressure on the calipers. I would suggest you go see a goo Rover tech and see what they find.

Default Pressure

Well, squeelers vary by brake pad. My old Nissan truck had squeelers, quite helpful. It was the trucks way of saying, "This could be a $600 brake job now or a 1,500 brake job later!" I'll have them look at it. I'm sure they already see me coming from a mile away...
