Default Ever seen a red/maroon DiscoII without side moldings?

The only two rough spots on my truck are 1) above the rear door it looks like the previous owner tried to squeeze her into a parking garage that was way too short and scraped up the roof, but you can't see it unless you look for it and 2) the side modlngs are starting to peel up.

Anyone seen a '99 maroon without its modlings?

I'm giving serious consideration to just taking them off next time I'm stateside (Dec).

Opinions?

Here is where they're peeling:

It is a matter of personal taste, my 99 has the same moldings and I wouldn't take them off, yet I have seen another web site where this was discussed at length, if I remember right it was about 50/50 on choices.
Make sure you get some touch up paint and take care of the roof scratches or you will get into serious rust problems.

Thank you sir!

Moses, I'll be driving my Disco from Boston to CA in Dec/Jan next year. Once the weather warms up over on the left coast, I'll yank them and post up about and give them to you, no charge.
