I'm considering buying a 2001 Discovery Series II SE. Will have around 48k miles on it at time of purchase. I have the option of adding an extended 4 yr / 100k extended warranty for $4250. Judging by the age and miles on the vehicle, would it be a wise decision to purchase the extended warranty?
Thanks! Adalan Last edited by Adalan : 01-13-2005 at 08:51 AM. |

An extended warranty is a great way to go, the price they quoted you needs to be checked, I would shop it around first.
When I bought my used 99 D2 I purchased a 7 year/100,000 miles warranty with $0 ded. for $3100. Is the price you were quoted from a dealer or aftermarket warranty co? By the way, my warranty in the first 2 years has paid for itself and yes you want one. Mike J. |

The price for that extended warrenty is coming from Bear Valley Land Rover (bvlr.com)
Still in the shopping around phase, just trying to get an idea of what is the right price range for different things. |
