I finally got the Cruise control working on my 99 DII. Thing is, I am not sure how it happened. So if some one could 'splain it to me! I also discovered that the Horn was not working. Found the fuse is burned. Replaced, it, and it worked ok, sounded muted though! While I was there, I removed the plug for the vaccum pump, inspected it, then put it back. Well, took it for a drive, and the horn stopped working, but the cruise control still works! I juggled the fuse, for the Horn, and then it started working again. A little while later it stopped again!
First Q.- Is the cruise control fuse, and the Horn connected? Can't tell by the "symbols" on the covers. Second Q.- Since the Horn is intermittent, do you think it is a bad connection, or a relay problem. Thanks!!

actually the horn and the cruise control use the same steering wheel wiring. ITs all on the same harness.
I wonder if the harness end isnt pulled where it contacts the steering column clockspring. |
