i was on EE and saw a FilterMAG.. which is a strong magnet that attaches to your oil filter and or transmission crankcase. (i think)
it is suppose to pull all the tiny metal particles that are floating around in your oils. heres the site. and a pic. FilterMAG: Magnetic Oil Filters finish the Job Your Filter Started. ![]()

i made a thread about this a while ago on one of the forums. I've been thinking about it, don't have one myself. but even if it takes just a few particles out of the oil or tranny fluid its probably worth it....ya never know when buildup is gonna occur

After I did an oil analysis last year, I concluded that a filter magnet was not necessary. Not that it would hurt anything if you decided to use one, but a simple oil test will show what's floating around in your engine, and you might just be surprised as to how well the oil filter does it's job.

it only takes a few small particles to get stuck to cause the chain reactions of buildup in the engine...even if it only saves you 3 days in the life of the motor, it may be worth it lol, you never know when you'll be wheeling and out in the middle of nowhere lol

I can't see how it would really help, at the same time I can't see how it would hurt anything either.
Unless of course it came flying off and kicked up into the fan tearing a few blades off, throwing the whole works out of balance destroying your water pump causing overheating. (This was Sarcasm)
