Talking First Leak!

This past week, I have been seeing drops of oil on the garage floor. They don't go anywhere because The floor is painted. Looked under the truck last nightl it appears to be coming from the transfer case. The support under it is covered in oil. Quite suprising how far the oil can creep along the chassis.
The oil is a carmel color, and stinks a little. Disco has 47,050, or it did when it was picked up for service. Strangely enough they are also doing the eval for the extended warranty, fixing the popping sound in the driver side window(regulator???) and possilby adjusting the striker panels (draft from doors). Magnecors and Platinum 4's are in the closet until after warranty is in place.

This is the 50K rust inhibitor application. It has to start early as it only spreads when you drive.

Sounds like the the output shaft has sprung a leak. Mine did the same thing and it was an o-ring or something. Covered under warranty.

The dealership is looking at it right now. Actually the only thing that was rusty under there was the exhaust. The Chassis was not that dirty! Yeah touchless whashes.

Betcha it's the transfer case drain plug. Tighten it another 1/8 turn. Wipe off the oil and see if that fixes it.
