About three weeks ago I went to put something in the rear cargo area of my 2000 Disco2 and couldn't get the door to unlatch. It felt like it was still locked. I crawled in through the back passenger door and tried to open it from the inside with no luck. I tried it again about a week latter and it opened fine. The only thing that I can think of that I had done differently was the day before I had driven about 15 miles on a very rough dirt road.
Today I tried to open the back door and it did the same thing again, it feels like the lock isn't releasing. Is this a common problem, and if so is there a simple fix (other than replacing the lock mechanism)?? |

Pretty common.
Remove the rear Rover emblym from off of the handle area, hose it out good and use a little WD40 on the moving parts and you will be fine until it gets dirty again. Mike |
