Flashing Odometer -2000 Discovery II - Land Rovers Only

I recently had an alternator die on my truck on a highway. Right after that, the odometer reading started flashing. The alternator has been replace but the odometer continues to flash and nothing in the manual addresses this issue. This is a 2000 Land Rover Series II.

Any ideas on how this can be stopped?

Got to take it to the dealer and have them reset it.

It just seems to be something very minute to have to require a visit to a dealer, but I guess I have no choice.

There was a thread about this not to long ago. I believe flashing odometer means the mileage shown and ecu mileage do not match.
