Hi everybody.
i bought my first Land Rover few weeks ago... from a friend.. and yesterday i noticed that the left fog light had water until the middle.. today i'm try to fix it. But why is this water inside? sorry.. but i have no experience with Land Rover before.. and i need to know the mechanical stuff that i could do by my self.. thanks

The lens might be broken somewere that you can't see or the seals aren't any good....once you take the light out from behind the bumper you'll be able to see better. If everything looks perfect i would suspect it's the lens to housing seal...if so just run a bead of silicone around the outside of it to help keep the water out. Repalcements are about 185.00US so you might want to try sealing it yourself first......

There is a water drin pipe bulit into the bottom of each lamp to prevent noisture from building up, sometimes the drain tube plugs up and just needs to be cleaned out.
This is a common problem for Rovers and once you clean out the drain you'll be fine. Mike |
