Front bumper cracked? Dryrot?

My front bumper is cracked just under the grill. It is located not on the outside of the bumper but on the inside where is meets the grill. There doesnt seem to be any damage to the outside if the bumper just the inside. Anyone else have this problem?

Ya, mine is a 2000 DII. I bought it in JAN2003, and noticed the same type of crack in the black plastic portion of the bumper underneathtthe driver's side fog lamp when I was washing it one day. Unfortunately, the only fix is to replace the whole bumper unit...

if it is dry rotted due to a bad material wouldnt if be covered under warranty? Mine is still under Fact Warr till June.

I believe you would have a real hard time trying to get this covered by warranty because body parts for the most part are not covered for cracks.

Just wait and got to a Rover Rally. I was at the one in Texas this weekend, mine was cracked, and then someone ( Love you Trigger) backed in to mine and bashed it nicely. Thank you!

Mine is cracked in the same spot. I thought maybe the previous owner mildly nailed someone from behind... ( sounds dirty )
