Default Front Rotors

I am about to do a complete brake job on my DII, and I was wondering where I can find the front rotors? The local Orielly's has the rear rotors, and front & rear brake pads, but they do not have the front rotors. I really dont want to order from the dealer, cuz they will ask for my left arm.

fixed your spelling mistake b/c I had no idea what you were talking about at first

You can order them from any of the online parts distributors... www.dap-inc.com ... www.atlanticbritish.com ... www.roversnorth.com .. etc..

Don't buy some after market pads and rotors that could cause you lots of grief.
There ar e very few that work well with Rovers and their overly sensitive ABS system.
Go to Atlantic British and order one of their kits.

Default drilled brembo????

This repair is on my list of things I'd like to do when I can get around to it. Compared to some other import SUVs, Disco's stopping power is nill. I was wondering, what aftermarket upgrades (like drilled rotors from Brembo or something) will work on the Disco, improving stopping distance, and not causing any problems?? Thanks

I am running DBA slotted and drilled rotors with Kevlar pads and syntheic brake fluid, had them on for about 60,000 miles and they stop much better then factory pads and rotors.
If you want the performace go with the DBA's all the rest are cheap copys and won't hold up as well.

I agree, I have aftermarket discs and pads on the rear of my D2. I had trouble with the HDC, TC and ABS lights illuminating and was advised by my local Land Rover dealer that some aftermarket discs and/or pads can create a harmonic that causes the system to register a fault.

Atlantic British sells generic Britpart rotors- some of the worst. OEM rotors are Delphi/Lockheed. There are at least three oem pad suppliers- Delphi and Ferodo seem to be the best of those, Mintex have the highest failure rate as far as incessant squealers.

The Delphi brake pads squeal like a pig in Dan's house. I'm running Brembo rotors in the rear with Mintex pads and don't have any squeal now.

i have seen more brake pulsations from the drilled and slotted rotors.

fill them up with mud and they rust up really quick.

drilled rotors are junk (even the ones on ebay that are brembo's). Had them on my 540i, they warped easily and would make noise. Nothing beats oem rotors in terms of long lasting quality + good performance. Order some from atlantic british..

I had Brembo drilled rotors on my 325is and they are junk. For BMW's go with Zimmerman rotors. Last much better. Wish they made them for Rovers.
